AUGUST 30TH & 31ST, 2024

Each year the Peoria Blues & Heritage Music Festival is staffed and supported by dedicated blues music folks. Most volunteer their time and effort to help ensure the Peoria Blues & Heritage Music Festival experience is enjoyed by every attendee. It is this dedication that helps make our festival what it is!

Thank you for your interest in the 32nd Peoria Blues & Heritage Music Festival Program. We really depend on volunteers to help us to put on our wonderful festival so therefore we really do depend on you to show up and work the time slot(s) you offer to work:

The following is some helpful information to review prior to signing up.

All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. If you are applying for an alcohol concessions position, you must be 21 years of age or older with a valid ID to present during check in.

All shifts will average 5 – 6 hours.

After signing up, someone from the department you requested to work with will contact you regarding your acceptance and go over details of your duties and shift times. You are not guaranteed a position just by applying. Positions are limited and will be confirmed by the department manager. Shift times will vary.

Please let us know of your availability in the “special request” section for both days at the festival. The more flexible you are with your availability will increase your volunteer opportunities

Volunteer’s Promise to Show Up

The festival department managers really depend on you to show up for the shift you sign up for and agree to work and therefore we have had to institute the following “Volunteer Promise To Show Up” procedures.

  • After completion of your shift, you will receive
    • 2-day entry pass good for Friday, September 1st and Saturday September 2nd to the Peoria Blues & Heritage Music Festival
    • If you confirm that you will volunteer by August 18, 2023, you will also receive a commemorative volunteer T-shirt
  • Do you want to come to enjoy the festival “before” your work shift begins?
    • If you would like to come and enjoy the festival prior to your actual work shift you would guarantee your “Promise To Volunteer” by:
      • Checking in at the festival box office
      • Pay the following Promise to Volunteer deposit
        • On Friday – a $40 cash deposit for a two-day pass
        • On Saturday or a $30 cash deposit for a Saturday only pass
      • Upon Completion of your volunteer shift, you will immediately be given a work completed voucher from your supervisor and 100% of your “Promise To Volunteer” deposit will be immediately refunded to you.

All of us at the Peoria Blues & Heritage Music Festival thank you for your support of the longest continuous running music festival in Central Illinois.

We look forward to enjoying another great weekend of Sun-Sational Blues!
